Heritage House is pleased to announce the introduction of a new Massage Therapy and Wellness Program which is designed to promote natural healing while maintaining the skills necessary to fulfill a healthy lifestyle.

What is Massage Therapy and how does it work?
Therapeutic Massage is the oldest form of natural healing and has been found to enhance general health and well being. Massage is the application of soft tissue manipulation techniques intended to reduce stress and fatigue while improving circulation.

Benefits of having a massage include:
Massage Therapy reduces muscle tension, boosts energy levels and mental awareness, can assist in a more restful sleep. It improves immune system functioning, increases flexibility, improves circulation, relieves stress and much more.

Types of Massage we offer:
Swedish/Relaxation - This is a gentle relaxing massage that improves circulation, reduces tension and relaxes tired muscles.

Deep Tissue Massage - A massage involving deeper muscles and fascia.

Trigger Point Therapy - The application of manual pressure. With the proper pressure duration and location, immediate release of tension and improved muscular functioning occur.

Neuromuscular - Deep tissue specialty that aims at releasing adhesions caused by chronic injuries.

Reflexology - Stimulating points on hands and feet with applied pressure.

Seated Chair Massage - A fully clothed upright massage focusing on the head, neck, shoulders, back and arms.

Each session may include a combination of several different types and can be tailored to accommodate your individual needs. Call for rates.

Hours are by appointment only by calling 570-826-1031.

What is the Wellness Program?
The Wellness Program offers individuals the opportunity to enjoy a therapeutic massage as well as a restorative exercise program. Upon completion of your rehab treatment, the physical therapy staff will review an at-home exercise program that you may continue in our therapy department. With the use of our fitness equipment, we will monitor your individualized exercise routine.
